At first I thought Crista was an excellent nursing home. But well over a year later I've changed my mind.
A significant percentage of the staff are obviously from a foreign country and speak poor English, it's really hard to understand them when you already have age related hearing problems. Some of the staff appear to have I don't really care attitudes.
I've noticed many of the staff at Crista (Cristwood) look very unhappy or tired. I also feel they are not very forthcoming when something bad happens and honest about it. They don't sincerely offer apologies either if something bad happens.
Overall it just does not seem like a real happy place for a "Christian" based environment. The pastor their tries in church services but it just seems like such a dark cloud with many (Not all) the staff members.
I visit a resident once or twice a week and that is my observation and opinions.

I stayed in Crista for around 10 days after I had a knee replacement.
They treated me very well and I would recommend it to any one.
My sister is in one now but we tried for Crista, however they were full.
I felt the food was good and the staff was excellent.
No complaints here
