My daddy, the late Lloyd Moore, lived in this facility from 1974-1996. He wanted to pass at Community Convalescence Center. Daddy always told me that if you can keep your love one at home, do so. If they have to go into an institution, he/she needs to be able to speak up, by asking for what you need or want or reporting mistreatment. I think Daddy liked living here and the services had to have met his needs. He was 88 when he passed. I sincerely thank and appreciate the staff for the services that they provides to my daddy for the 22 years that he was a resident at the Center.
This place is terrible. It smells of urine. they would rarely answer the phone when We called from 4 states away. Whent hey did answer the phone would not reach my step father room??? They had my step father on a rubber mattress with no sheet for day on end. As a result he developed bed sores. He was of sound mind for his short stay. he was unable to use his hands so he asked the nurse to place his meds in his mouth for him. She routinley woul dno do so and stated " it was not her job"! We came down from the northeast to visit after having concerns abbout his welfare in this place. We ended up moving my stepfather immediately upon arrival !!
