Horrid hospice experience. Patient begging for morphine. Did not receive proper medication because staff did not read his medical history. Several prescriptions that he took with him and then lost.

Be kind to your dying friend or relative. This is not the Hospice care they should receive.

A patient really needs an advocate in this place! On the surface it appears they are taking care of your loved one, but just hang around like I did and you will get a much clearer picture of what's really going on there. NEGLECT!!!! Big time! From the Medical Directors to the nurses, I found them to be arrogant, defensive and dismissive. In general poor care givers, I was very very disappointed in the care or lack there of that my loved one received. Patronizing egomaniacs who take delight in abusing their perceived power. I would not recommend this place, and if for some reason your loved one ends up here, spend as much time as you can with he or she especially if the patient does not speak up for them self. Not a place to leave someone you care about unless you plan on being there with them, and even then prepare to be frustrated a lot! The cheerful Admissions Director either doesn't have a clue as to what's going on or he is paid to look the other way. It appears that there are a handful of chiefs that probably get paid a decent salary, while the workers that are suppose to provide the actual care are not paid enough for them to give a damn about your loved one. It is also a place where the right hand definitely does not know what the left hand is doing which makes it all pretty frightening. This is an ideal place for an undercover Boss!
