Would like to give it a ZERO, since they are not even 20% capable of considerate care. My Mom went here one week ago after having had MAJOR surgery (femur surgery-2nd time in last ten years-stitches and staples on about 2 ft of her body) and today after ZERO physical therapy or rehab as required, we are being told that she has not progressed. One would think that such trauma to a 88-year-old, would hint to the staff that her physical mobility is limited, thus the reason she is there. They have lied to us many times in telling us that PT is being done, but as there are four of us siblings visiting my Mom daily, we have not witnessed any PT, which has been confirmed by her roommate.
There is no valid documentation of any PT being completed as the times recorded have been when we are there. No schedule shown and as we have asked to contact us during her pseudo-PT, no one has given us any info. If my Mom is being ignored and treated in this manner, one can only assume how much worse others with fewer or no family advocates are being cared for.
Stay away from this place!!!

Briarcliffe Manor is the typical old school nursing home that most people think of. The kind of place where you drop off your grandma and don't visit more than once a year and pretend everything is okay. The staff is rude, abusive, and the entire facility is falling apart and VERY dirty. Everyone is burnt out and jaded and the residents can DEFINITELY feel the stress. I wouldn't bring my worst enemy here.
