I attempted to have my 28 yr old husband admitted here. He suffered a severe stroke and is unable to speak or walk alone. He had undergone brain surgery and was ver lucky to make it this far and is making more progress everyday. He has been in a hospital 3 hours from home for 3 months. He is finally stable enough to be transferred closer to home. So we tried Bradford manor. The facility was willing to take him but none of their physicians would. I work in a nursing home and have never heard of such a thing! My only conclusion is that they are afraid of being liable should something happen to him. So if your seriously ill look elsewhere! If you just have a broken hip or something I'm sure they'll treat you.

My mother was a resident here. She got two bad urinary tract infections while in this facility. Her depends were sopping wet with urine and blood when went to visit her. We cleaned her up and reported this to the front desk, and also to the social worker. My mom's teeth also had not been brushed in quite awhile. Needless to say she ended up in the hospital,
with bad uti and all kinds of bacteria in her mouth, having a seizure or mini stroke, leaving her unable to swallow.
She died under hospice care about a week later in our home. Unfortunately I feel there are no good nursing homes anywhere, and it depends on the nurses aid if your loved one will get any care or not. Lots of money wasted on care that wasnt given. If you have a loved one in a nursing home and they have their own teeth, take a flashlight and check their mouth, (and their depends) every time u visit.
