The staff is condescending, rude, and just plain hard to work with! CENAs need customer service training! Jill Director of Staff likes to play the blame game, when really she's responsible for th eir attitude! In other words I feel like I came here for me, but really I guess I'm here to be an advocate for those who can't advocate for themselves!
My mother was at Birchwood for rehabilitation following knee replacement. I was told that they had specialty rehab and that was untrue. They have a therapist, but therapy was not directed at her kne e. We brought her ice machine, which was supposed to be used 5-6 times a day, and on the second day it had never been used. When asking the nurses, they didn't even know how to use it. The nursing staff was vacant and half the time they said they would be back with something for my mother, they never returned. The facility is old and doesn't have a separate rehabilitation side. It smells bad and the staff talks about you as if you aren't even there. Very unprofessional
