My wife was a patient in the psychiatry ward (for depression)at Clara Maass. She hardly ever got to see a psychiatrist or therapist. The ward was run by unqualified people who did not help her at all. She would have been better off staying with her own psychiatrist, who resolved her depression within 6 weeks. The staff was also uncaring and the facilities very poor. Patients just sat around bored most of the time. Their cost was quite a bit higher than other hospitals also.

The department I was in was completely unhelpful. There were more social workers and hangers-on than doctors and nurses. I rarely met with a doctor, and they did not help my medical problems at all.
