I started as a family practice doctor with sports medicine training. About 5 years into private practice and running a sports medicine clinic, I thought caring for patients was getting easy and wanted to find a way to facilitate healing. Enrolled with UCLA's medical acupuncture post graduate training and started into the world of alternative medicine. I started healing patients with a different perspective but since I was working for the hospital, had to maintain conventional treatment patterns. Soon the hospital administration changed and I became dis-heartened with the way I was to care for the sick. I left and moved to Florida and started private practice next to an herbalist. I was amazed at the healing they were accomplishing and began to learn. The experience changed my life. I started meeting poeple in the alternative medicine world that were making an impact in the US. I am still healing people but now with conventional and alternative styles. In my clinic I have no restrictions to "quota" or "number of patients per hour". I consider myself privileged to have more tools to help patients maximize on their own healing potential.
