I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Smyth. I requested to be transferred to her after a terrible experience with another physician at the Polyclinic. Dr. Smyth is very knowledgable in a number of areas (I tend to ask a LOT of questions) and I feel lucky to have her as my new PCP. Her bedside manner is outstanding. I definitely recommend her.

I love Dr. Cynthia Smythe! She is an excellent, caring, informative doctor! Unfortunately, she has left unexpectedly again on extended personal leave for the second time in the last few years, so I have been unable to see her for two of my annual physicals. Now that I'm turning 60, I have some major issues that need resolving (cardiovascular-high cholesterol and osteoporosis) and I was looking forward to having her help me make some decisions. She has always been so helpful; open and honest. I was more than a little sad when I received the phone call from Minor and James Medical two weeks ago (a day before my appointment) telling me that she was gone again. But this time they asked me to switch doctors, without any explanation of when or if Dr. Smythe would be returning (and I did ask). Sadly, I don't know any of the other doctors there so I didn't feel comfortable switching on the spur of the moment. Now, I have made an appointment for next week with a female doctor at a different Swedish related women's heathcare center that was kind enough to squeeze me in. This new doctor is highly rated by my associates so I look forward to meeting her, but I will miss my association with Dr. Smythe, given the years I was with her, and wish only the best for her and her family.
