Dr. Carmosky is extremely professional, diligent and empathetic. She is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen, and definitely the best in the area. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for several years and she is the first doctor who was able to treat me - because she really took the time to understand what was going on both in my head and in my body. I highly recommend her whether it's your first time or you just need medication management.

I had been seeing Dr. Carmosky for a couple of months for postpartum depression, anxiety and paranoia. At first she seemed like a decent psychiatrist but the last couple of appointments, specially the last appointment, she was extremely unprofessional, confrontational, rude, and arrogant. She seems to think that I have a sleeping disorder which I totally disagree. Additionally, she seems to think I have some mental disorder but she can't figure it out which I totally disagree with her. When I had told her that I disagree with her, she became upset with me. It was like how dare I give her my opinion! She's the doctor, not me. I had been feeling awful the last two weeks before my last appointment with her and I had informed her of that. She had upped my anti-depressant which worked great for about three weeks but after that, I started feeling lousy. I never got the chance to ask her if maybe it was the medication. That maybe she needed to tweak it or try another medication as my body may not be responding to this particular medication. Because she couldn't figure out what was going on with me, she wanted to put me in partial hospitalization which I totally disagreed with her and this upset her. She basically told me that if I don't go to the partial hospitalization then our doctor/patient relationship is terminated. She was extremely rude about it and spoke to me a condescending manner like I was a child. I told her that I didn't feel that is the solution and she never even took in consideration with my condition that I could easily freak out being away from my family. My family is extremely supportive of me with my condition. I need to be around my family, not a mental hospital. She kept telling me that she's the doctor and I am aware of that and understand that, but I have a right to disagree with her. She should be very supportive of me and concerned and she seemed more irritated with me. When I had told her that I hadn't felt well for the past two weeks with my depression, anxiety, etc., her response was, "well, you were feeling good before that!" Almost like how dare I not feel good now!! One of the medications she prescribed to me has been making me super tired and I had mentioned this to her and she didn't even respond to me or seemed concerned about this. She has no compassion for her patients and she's judgmental. I am in the process of finding a new psychiatrist that has compassion and is very supportive of me and allows me to have an opinion regarding my treatment. Anybody out there who is thinking of seeing her, please do not. Stay away from this psychiatrist!! I don't think she knows what she is doing and that is extremely scary.
