Dr. Cox botched my mothers colonoscopy about 4 years ago and since then her life has never been the same. The day she went in for her routine colonoscopy he penetrated her colon. He was not careful and this caused my mother to be rushed to the emergency room, and she almost went into septic shock and died.

My mother was very active, healthy, played tennis, traveled with my father all over the world. Since this incident, her life has been devastatingly affected.

After the initial recovery, which took 6+ months, my mother was on so many painkillers from the surgery and trauma, she got up one night and lost her balance and fell straight into a closet shelf and broke her nose.

Since that surgery and recovery which took many months, she has had a number (5-6 incidents) where scar tissue in her colon has caused severe pain, chills, vomiting, and rushes to the ER, with the fear of going into septic shock again. In fact, she just returned back from another 5 days in the ER.

My father and mother cannot travel like they used to...they are in constant worry that she will have an incident while overseas. The doctors tell her she is in EXCELLENT health for her age, EXCEPT FOR her botched colon and stomach issues as a result of Dr. Cox's negligence.

It kills me to see her suffering and dealing with this when her quality of life was SO DIFFERENT. We've had family trips affected, vacations cancelled, and memories that never happened as a result of Dr.Cox's "distraction" during surgery. Something was wrong with his camera that day and he could not get it to work. He was more concerned with fixing his camera and paying attention to it, vs. being "careful" with my mother's intestines and what he was doing with her, he botched a standard "routine" procedure.

My mom's life will be forever "handicapped" by Dr. Cox's negligence. Be forewarned!

I was appalled at how rude and unfriendly the entire staff was. I have never received a colder welcome. They barely ever answer any of my questions over the phone, and I've had to make way too many appointments.
