Dr Beals is absolutely the best doctor I've seen -- ever. She actually listens to me and asks follow-up questions to make sure she understands what I'm saying. I have several overlapping illnesses a nd she has kept me on track for years. She remembers my history (since 1998!) and makes sound decisions based on lab results, my input, and her knowledge and experience. She is not afraid to look up answers to questions or to admit that she doesn't know -- but she finds out right away and promptly gets back to me. She is very kind and shows empathy for my pain and discomfort. Also, she has a charming sense of humor and knows when to use it. I feel better just having seen her during my appointment. Dr. Beals' staff -- her Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Assistant -- are truly angels. Both are very nice and most helpful; they never seem rushed even though I know they are always busy. I highly recommend Dr. Beals if you're looking for a Primary Care Physician who will refer you to specialists when needed, will diligently monitor your prescriptions, and will ensure you get the best care possible.
Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I feel like my appointment was pointless. I waited 3 weeks for this appointment. Arrived 15 minutes early as requested to fill out all the info, filling out all the medical history, releases, etc. Took a lot of time to do so. Half-hour AFTER my appointment time, I was called up to the window to say they did not accept new Medicare patients. Although I have insurance through my husband.'s city insurance. The staff was cold and unfeeling and mechanical in their processes of greeting, getting information. Absolutely no emotions displayed by the receptionist when I said I thought I had heart problems. She merely repeated herself: "We don't accept new Medicare patients.". None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed.
