I have been a patient of Dr. Shepard for over 15 years and have really enjoyed him, he is a very nice man. I do believe that he is just overbooked and not able to pay attention to the damage his staff is doing to his practice. I was in the office a few weeks ago with a really bad cough and sinus infection. While waiting over an hour in the waiting room, I had 2 different people ask me my opinion of the office because they looked online and found horrible reviews about the office staff. I told them that Dr. Shepard is nice but the women that work up font are HORRIBLE... While I was there I witnessed one of these women kick out a patient because they were directing him upstairs and no one was there and he was getting frustrated. Rather than help him, they told him he was going to have to leave because he was making a scene. HE WAS NOT... he was very quiet and calm. I was also asked to leave the office because I asked for cough medicine with codeine in it and they refused, told me I would have to try the medicine they prescribed, and if it didn't work I would have to make an appt. the next day, pay again and get a new RX and pay for that again. I told them I am to sick to come back and I don't want to waste money coming back for a RX that I can get now. 4 of the bullies from the front desk came to the counter and told me I was exhibiting signs of a drug addict because I was asking for the cough syrup with codeine. I have seen this doctor for over 15 years and really liked him, but his staff is driving everyone away, they are very abusive. I don't see this practice succeeding in the future because of the horrible office staff. Last week I tried to renew my RX for thyroid and they are refusing. I have two pills and am expected to find a new dr. DO NOT VISIT THIS OFFICE.
