Dr. Janna Simpson came highly recommended and so I was excited to set up a relationship with her and her staff....WRONG!
where to start? I entered the very crowded waiting room and made my way to the front where the staff was otherwise busy and so I signed in and sat down. They were very prompt to make sure they took all of my insurance info but there was absolutely no acknowledgement of me as a person. The wait wasn't too bad and so I thot, well, the front staff is just busy, I am sure that the back staff and doctor will be different since I am a new patient....WRONG again!...The gal who took me to the back (a tech? nurse?)...I have no idea because she did not introduce herself or ask who I was apart from acknowledging that I was indeed the next patient. Again I thot, well, that is just her personality, she is busy. Well, I don't know what it was all about, but after she proceeded to start asking me questions, she excused herself and left, came back, left again and then with no warning or apology for the abruptness, a stranger (who I guess was also staff..perhaps a nurse, but I don't know because she didn't bother to introduce herself either) opened the door, walked in, issued some directions and left...without even knocking before she opened the door. Again I thot, well, she must be busy and after all, I don't have a life-threatening condition, so I am sure she must have other more crucial things to be attending to....at least I am sure that the doctor will appropriately introduce herself,... WRONG for the third time! ....when she came in, she did not introduce herself, nor really ask anything except to verify my answers and tell me to lie down for the exam. I think I was "seen" by the doctor (if you can call it that) for 5 min...10 min. tops. Well, in baseball they say "3 strikes and you're out"....I say three " WRONG'S" and I will not be returning to this doctor. (funny thing, I picked her because I felt more comfortable with a female doctor)....I will be most gladly returning to my previous doctor (who is male) who is caring, professional, has a professional staff and treats me like an individual, not a name on a paper.
