Relies on archaic computerized tests for diagnosis. Has no common sense, i.e., doesn't seem to know that for one to be BI-polar, one must show signs of depression AND mania. When no such signs are found, Robertson just makes 'em up. I'm sure his pharmaceutical rep loves him! All joking aside (it's no joking matter) this is one dangerous doctor. He should NEVER be allowed to diagnose or prescribe meds for anyone, let alone for children.

I have been taking my 14 yr old, who is diagnosed with bi-polar disorder with psychosis, for several months now. We love Dr. Robertson and Nurse Practitioner, Lisa. It seems like it took a long time to find the right meds. Dr Robertson was reluctant to try medications that have worked in the past for my own illness. My daughter is getting better, but is still far from out of the woods yet.

All that said, it is the office staff - particularly the 'office administrator' - who made me question Dr. Robertson's authority and empathy. If he has a backbone at all, he will fire the administrator before all his patients are gone.

Lessons I learned: Never, Never, NEVER call the after hours number. Even in an emergency, the 'administrator' will deem the call non-emergency, and hit you with a $45 charge. Making payments on this charge will barely be tolerated, if at all. The day before Thanksgiving, with money as tight as it is for this divorced mom, I offered to pay $10 on what was a $17 balance. Well, the fat old 'f-er' administrator came out and embarrassed the crap out of me. You would have thought I owed a million dollars - not just $7. He said he simply could not afford to carry my balance any longer.

The other office staff are just nasty in general. Rude and curt on the phone, especially the one with the first name that starts with an "M". I mean, really ugly, nasty people. I guess, though, if I had to work for that fat f-er admin, I'd hate my job and take it out on the patients too.

But again, Dr. Robertson is a kind man who really seems to care about my kid. Nurse Lisa is wonderful too. I just can't take the staff, and for that reason, we're switching doctors
