I recently posted on a similar doctor survey site, but good news is worth repeating , and since there's so much negative stuff out there, I figured I'd share a positive experience we had with Dr. Klufas and those persons who cared for my family member at Memoriall Hospital of RI in Pawtucket, RI.

Dr. Klufas is a very attentive caring doctor, and very personable as well.
He cares for my elderly Aunt who is in a nursing home, a very good one. But she became ill with a very serious Infection and was hospitalized and I was preparing for the worst. I'm not as familiar with Dr Klufas as other members of my family, but they all are pleased with his good care and concern for my Aunt, and I was very surprisingly impressed that he was pleasant and gentile, and didn't brush any of us off when we had to talk with him. We aren't overly familiar with him, but are pleased he knew so much about my aunt in a very short period of time.
Also the nurses, and social workers at the hospital were excellent. Liz and Andrew were the nurses that I remember and were both
excellent and always there for my aunt and my family. Liz had the greatest sense of humor and wonderful tenderness while keeping a close eye on Auntie. Andrew also was so caring and kind and answered many questions we had quite patiently. The social worker Steve had to be the greatest social worker on the planet , and helped us with alot of financial issues we had regarding obtaining assistance for my mothers continued care as her insurance maximums or something, was about to run out. He guided us painstakingly through paperwork, and more paperwork and cut through alot of red tape we ran into. He worked on
mothers case for hours for a few days in a row. He really went all out and we know it. We are so greatfull for Steve. Along with Steve was Terri the continuing care nurse who we all called " Miss Stunning" who really stepped up to the plate on a prior hospitalization my Aunt had months earlier, and guided us in selecting a Nursing Home . We are very pleased with her

expertise and candid opinions. This time again Terri was as smart as she is kind and always with her beautiful smile. She took alot of time explaining why certain things were or weren't don't with my Aunts care, and it clarified many midunderstsndings regarding her care and well being. Terri did alot of hand holding and likely ran out of the hospital after dealing with all of us, but we appreciated her time in clearing up a few issues we misunderstood My Aunt and family were very impressed with her Kapusta cabbage soup she brought us !!! How thoughtful and unexpected. It's the best Kapusta we ever had. Hahaha ,Who ever thought a Japanese Nurse could make the
best cabbage soup a polish family ever had ?She revealed she was also part Ukrainian and Latvian , so that explained it. In all seriousness though, we are so touched by her. We can be a tough and demanding family , but Terri had a firm, kindness in thoroughly explaining why my aunt qualified and didnt qualify for certain care facilities. We still didn't understsnd most of the reasonings. Both Steve and Terri agreed alot in medicine doesnt make sense, but we all came to trust
their answers, and were comfortable knowing that they both seemed the very best care and services for my Aunt. I can't say enough about Steve and Terri. Also I must thank The Nurse Manager Michelle, who referred us to Steve and Terri in the first place, and also resolved some issues we had initially when my Aunt first got admitted. I won't mention them, but we are pleased how quickly the issues were corrected and resolved to our satisfaction. Thank you Michelle!!!
I can't say enough about the fantastic care by Dr Klufas and the great hospital staff. Everything was top notch. Very appreciative and would have no problem recommending any one to Dr Klufas or the Memorial Hospital. And Again big thanks to Nurses Liz and Andrew. All were just great.

Dr. Klufas is just a great physician. Knows his stuff, answers questions and welcomes them. Just naturally a good guy... Smart as hell too, Really, he's no idiot, if you have a problem he'll figure out what is . I'm very pleased with the care I receive from him. Smart and laid back... a rare find.
