I have never met a medical professional who was as disrespectful as Dr. Fernando. She seems extremely knowledgeable, but should not be having contact with patients if she can only speak by belittling them. I was interrupted, told to hurry up, and was not allowed to discuss my concerns or preferences. I have never had a doctor so blatantly show her prejudices and have no sense of sympathy to a patient desperately trying to get help. I was treated terribly and her judgmental attitude is shocking for someone in a field that requires sensitivity. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else. I know they see a lot of patients, but that does not mean you have the right to treat them any less than human.

Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend her to my friends or family. She was always polite but mostly wanted me to do writing exercises at home...not an easy feat for someone who hates writing and works full time and has a family/household to run.
We just didn't 'click', but I feel she's empathetic and qualified.
