Excellent doctor!!! I don't usually give such high rankings, but his are well earned. Plus, I have always prefered female gynecologists (simply because they have first-hand knowledge); I felt that a male doctor could never have the same level of understanding.
HOWEVER, Dr. Coslett proved me wrong. He is experienced and extremely knowledgeable, and he has the perfect blend of bedside manner: very professional & informative, yet empathetic & "comfortable", as well as funny.
I was referred to Dr. Coslett when I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer. He took the time to explain everything from the diagnosis to my options and what to expect after my surgery.
A Total Hysterectomy is usually considered a major surgery, but he used laparoscopy so recovery time and scarring was MINIMAL (really minimal - I was up and walking the same day).
It's been 2 years and my scars consist of a "light spot" (smaller than a pea) and the main scar is just a 1/2" line, that is slightly darker than normal skin tone, but barely noticeable.
Also, he used fluid instead of air during the surgery, which helped with re-hydration and eliminated the typical shoulder aches that are usually associated with that type of surgery.
He personally called before the surgery to go through the procedure and to make sure I was comfortable and ready to proceed. Then he checked in several times after the surgery and again later to give the results of the biopsy.
At this point, you are likely suspect of such a "glowing recommendation" (as would I). Actually I had no intention of writing this review when I came to this website, but I developed a new appreciation for Dr. Coslett when I moved to another state and regretfully had to leave his services.
I am extremely glad that I was referred to Dr. Coslett and would highly recommend him as a gynecologist and as a surgeon.
