New to the area, I took a colleague's recommendation of Penn and Dr. Tam. He spent our time mostly on the computer. After blood results he wouldn't offer prescriptions without more exams. The insurance office incorrectly submitted my visit codes and then sent me s bill that contained services not provided and charges never submitted to insurance. I will not return nor will I ever recommend this clinic or doctor.

Like most doctors these days you wait way past your appointment time and then get 10 minutes with the doctor if you're lucky.

I have a couple of complaints i've been telling him about for years and really have not gotten any help with - these are more than minor annoyances - they really bother me. I get the feeling he doesn't care or doesn't know what my problem is. I also get the feel - often - that he doesn't believe me! I am not a hypochondriac and I avoid going to the doctor if i possibly can.

i am seeking a new physician because I sick of the above.

They barely ever answer any of my questions over the phone, and I've had to make way too many appointments. Every time I'd ask a question, it seemed like they were annoyed and didn't want to give me an answer. I understand they're busy, but they should really treat their clients better. There was only a couple of times where the staff was actually able to answer my questions. Most of the time, they'd refer me to their boss or another staff member. Almost every time I visit, I have to remind them who I am, why I'm there, and what my circumstances are. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded.
