My experience with Dr Meese was very PROFESSIONAL. Dr Meese refused to do any surgical procedure until Dr. Meese and my other doctors were certain the surgery was correct for me. Dr. Meese is one of the reasons that I am still here today. I followed all his instructions and healed in the time that he had specified. It has been 4 months since my surgery and I am improving each and every day. I made sure my insurance would cover my procedure. It is NOT the doctor or his staffs responsibility to verify the insurance coverage. They really care about informing their patients, and made sure I understood all of my treatment's risks and benefits. If I need surgery at some point in the future, I will absolutely be going back to visit them again. They did a fantastic job. Right after I walked in the door they were ready for me. I didn't have to spend any time in their waiting room, it was great. They were one of the most courteous, respectful surgeons I've ever met, and I've met quite a few. I've been to some surgeons that seem like all you are is a hindrance to their schedule, but not this one. They were so kind and patient, and made sure I had all the information I needed before I left.

My experience with Dr. Meese was a nightmare. I went in for some small vericose veins sometime around 2000. He performed two very expensive and invasive surgical procedures that has left me with a leg that is swollen to nearly twice the size of my other leg nearly all the time because of lack of circulation. He removed my saphonous vein. When I mention what he did to other professionals, their jaws drop. They say that is was completely unnecessary and will now cause complications for the rest of my life. I can't even feel my ankle bone on my swollen leg because of the edema. I have iron deposits that have stained that leg a completely different color. And again, this leg is swollen so badly that I can't really wear shorts now without people asking me if I'm okay and what is wrong with my leg. To make matters worse, before the operations, his staff told me that I was approved by my insurance only to later tell me that they didn't see some fine print and that veins were excluded from coverage and that I would have to pay around $12,000 out of pocket. My legs were fine before I went in. I can no longer do many of the physical activities such as play tennis or anything that requires a lot of circulation in my legs. It's even been mentioned to me that I could actually lose my leg if I don't take care of it. Every night I spend around 2 hours or more elevating it to get the swelling to go down. Sometime the swelling meets full maximum swelling and it is quite painful.
