If you're looking for a psychiatrist that is VERY biased towards natural remedies (supplements, vitamins, etc.) then Dr. Delmedico is for you. But I will not see her again. After 3 visits I felt like I was seeing a dietician or nutritionist rather than a psychiatrist. She should be providing information about BOTH- natural remedies AND prescription medications.

Dr. DelMedico saved my life 20 years ago by being up on the cutting edge of psychiatry and research. Over the years she has shown nothing but sincere concern, awareness of my condition, keeping up to the minute on my medication and side effects, often recommending supplements like magnesium, vitamin D and dietary changes for rough patches.
Most memorably, about 10 years ago I hit a long and increasingly severe stretch of my symptoms. <url removed> Medico ordered extensive blood work and discovered that my symptoms were being exacerbated by an unusually high histamine level. The culprit was then identified (talking about environment and changes) and my symptoms were, once again under control. Dr. Del Medico should be Queen of all Dr.'s. She is better than the best.

Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. If I couldn't find anyone better, I'd return again, but I'm hoping I can find better service somewhere else. She has way too many patients to do her job thoroughly and the wait time is outrageous. 3 times I've left without being seen because I've waited 45 mins to over an hour with still no sign from the front desk that I would be seen soon. I have other things to do with my time than wait for a Dr. whose staff clearly doesn't know how to schedule. I could excuse it once, but when you tell me she's always behind and don't do anything to change that, I'm moving on.
