Dry Ryazansky is very kind and a good listener. She gives practical advice and always seems to care about you and whatever your ailment. She makes good referrals when necessary. I think she is a great doctor.

However, anytime I have had an acute illness, scheduling is very problematic. More times than not, you are told she has no appointments until days or a week later and the advice from the front desk is to go to the ER or Urgent Care. The problem with that is they aren't your doctor and don't have your medical history as well as the extreme cost involved in those options. Nearly every time I have gone to Urgent Care or Minute Clinic, I end up going in to see Dr. Ryazansky and following up as the other providers don't get it right. So it ends up being two payments for one thing to two different providers as well as multiple trips to the pharmacy.

This is not a complaint about the office staff as they are usually pretty nice, etc. it is just the method they use for scheduling. Why not set aside a certain percentage of time each day for people with acute illness, it would 1) help patients (which is the biggest point after all) and 2) stop overburdening insurance for unnecessary ER and urgent care visits.

One can't predict when they are going to get sick, but when they do, it would be nice to know that scheduling an appointment with their OWN doctor won't be a problem.

I love Dr. Ryazansky! I do not love the staff. Dr. Ryazansky always takes the time to address every concern I have at the time of my appt. no matter how long it takes. Yes, this means she can run behind, but I'd rather have to wait a bit longer than be limited to addressing only the issue of that day. I'd still be with her if I didn't live ALL the way across town. If she ever widens her practice to other areas of Columbus, I'm going back in a heartbeat.
