I visited Wake Gastro after reading good reviews online. I saw Dr. Ender and he was very friendly and put my mind at ease telling me that we would run some tests and try and figure out what my problem was. I had even kept a food diary and he said we would talk about that later. He ordered a lot of blood tests and a colonoscopy. I had the colonoscopy two weeks ago and had quite a few questions after the procedure but he told me that we would discuss those questions during my appointment. I returned today for my follow up appointment and did not even get to see Dr. Ender. His nurse told me that the ployps they found were benign and that I didn't have to return for five years to follow up. I asked her was I not going to see the Dr. and she told me no. I asked were there not any instructions as far as continuing current medications, modifications to diet, etc. and she told me no. I was shocked to the point of disbelief. This was not the same treatment that I had been shown before I had the colonoscopy. While I'm glad there was nothing found I do believe I should have been given a chance to hear it from the Dr. and I would think any Dr. worth his weight in salt would want to follow up to answer questions as he had promised. At this point I am totally unsatisfied with my experience at Wake Gastro and I do hope any reader will take this into consideration when they are searching for such services. I feel really let down and feel as if I have been left hanging. I know there are good doctors out there, I have had them before but it is small things like this that if doctors took heed and did as they promised would make the entire medical experience easier for all involved.
