was seen by Teich for about 5 minutes. The nurse did the skin testing. The test was interesting but just verified what I knew- allergic to pollen, ragweed, etc. The website says they test for food but I wasn't.

Long story short- big charge insurance over (almost $200 out of my pocket) to be told to continue taking Zyrtec! This was a complete waste of money!

I was 25 and perfectly healthy went to Dr. Teich a Clinical Ecologist aka. "Environmental Medicine" MD regarding a allergy to fumes from permanent magic markers and rubber cement. The forms I filled out included a waiver stating Teich was doing "dangerous clinical experiments that could be harmful perhaps fatal". Teich claimed I had a "masked" allergy to formaldehyde and he could treat the chemical sensitivity i had but formaldehyde "provocative neutralization would improve the above mentioned allergy. In contrast to the waiver described the treatment as "absolutely safe and formaldehyde was a non-toxic substance". I was injected with tinctures of formaldehyde and given sublingual drops of same. As a result of this treatment I became sensitized to formaldehyde making it all but impossible to continue my professional practice as an architect. Allergy blood tests 3 months after ending this "treatment" showed the worst allergy index subsequent MD's had seen. I reported Teich to the NYS board of Ed. Dept. Med. Misconduct. According to the Investigator he beat the rap by getting the best malpractice attorney in NYC, 100's of the other "Clinical Ecologist" to submit supporting patient treatment histories. The state investigator stated we got a room full of cartons of reports, we sampled them "there all garbage" but in order to prosecute him we would have to evaluate each one and we just the manpower. He said the head of his department knows Teich and told him "HE'S A PHONY". Teich also altered my records to indicate I reported a severe sensitivity to formaldehyde prior to his "treatment". Subsequently I found Dr. John Selner MD had debunk Teich & his friends for over 20 years using control double blind test to prove the worthlessness of there treatments. It so consistently showed provocative neutralization be worthless the doctors refused to give anymore patients to test.
He's got all the right docs. on the wall, affable acts respectable but actually a very screwed and deceptive individual. Seems in a vain effort to be the great man he's indangering some of his patients.
FYI Some of other reviews don't look legit.
