I have been seeing Annmarie off and on for several years for depression, anxiety, self-doubt, grief and general life-issues. She has been a very good fit for me and I get a lot out of our time together. She remembers everything very well, even things from previous years, and applies them to new issues as they come up. Her office is bright, warm, clean and comfortable with a couple large windows. She is always on time and good at returning my phone calls. I can walk into a session completely distressed and walk out feeling better and that's saying a lot if I've been upset, stressed or depressed for days.

She thought my bipolar disorder and hypothyroidism were due to my diet. Her solution was to put me on vitamins and an elimination diet. She referred me to a gynecologist who is an expert in functional medicine. When the elimination diet with the gyn didn't work, and the gyn thought it was not worth pursuing, Dr. McDonagh still wanted me to try it again. My husband also sees her for severe OCD, she put him on 2 meds that removed his sex drive, made him gain 50 lbs, he was constantly sweating, he snored like a monster, and worst of all, they made his symptoms worse!!! They were very addictive, and he had great difficulty getting off them. He was so bad that when he took a trip abroad, he scheduled an emergency flight home to do some checking. When she saw him in person after this episode, she realized how bad it was and apologized for putting him on the drug. For me the most irritating thing is that she is absolutely awful about submitting claim forms. You can call and call again, and she still won't submit them. She's an absolute fruitcake. She's also very hit and miss about returning calls. We're still waiting for her to submit our claim form from my husband's visit 3 months ago.
