For over ten years, Dr. Murphy has been providing his patients with surgical excellence in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.Dr. Murphy was born and raised in Reno. Dr. Murphy received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He went on to complete his general surgery training at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He received his plastic surgery training at Wake Forest University at Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina. Dr. Murphy is a board certified plastic surgeon and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Murphy currently has one of the busiest and most respected cosmetic and reconstructive practices in Northern Nevada. Dr. Murphy’s easy going bedside manner allows his patients to relay their desires and ask the questions about the procedures they want. Dr. Murphy takes the time to listen to his patients, discuss their concerns, and alleviate their fears about cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Murphy specializes in breast surgery, providing superior results in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast. “I perform more breast augmentations than any other surgery”. He provides a wide array of other cosmetic surgeries including: liposuction, abdominoplasty, facial rejuvenation, laser resurfacing, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, ear surgery and post bariatric surgery. Dr. Murphy also maintains an active reconstructive practice. He performs the majority of cleft lip and palate surgeries in Northern Nevada and is an expert in facial reconstruction for patients injured in accidents.
