I would eagerly steer any new parents in search of a pediatrician away from Dr. Kovarik. She charged me $200 for a meet and greet that she was 45 minutes late to. Not only that, but the one time that we went into visit she was eager to start supplementing with formula because my daughter had not gained enough weight during her 2nd week of life, which seems strange because she supposedly is a big breast feeding advocate (supplementing with formula actually hurts milk supply). Instead of encouraging me, she belittled me and made me feel like I was starving my daughter. She didn't take any input about our daughter from either my husband or myself and immediately jumped to conclusions based on a cursory look at my daughter's chart. This was the most upsetting visit that I've ever had to see a doctor and will never go back.
