I went in with an abscessed tooth. He doesn't use gas, keeps his equipment in stand-up mechanics' toolboxes, worked with a rip in his glove, and did nothing to remove the infection. He used powdered gloves, which got all over my shirt. He took x-rays, but all I saw him do was to turn on the viewer without x-rays, say "ohhhh-k" quietly, then turn the (still empty) viewer off and immediately proceeded.

When I asked about gas he mentioned that he had 36 yrs experience. That's fine, but the worst experiences I've had were always from dentists that used that response.

The office was cramped and seemed dingy. He had no staff, and his desk is hidden behind the open door to the open working rooms (i.e., there's very little privacy). He did not discuss payment options. I was able to pay up front, but would have liked to have discussed options.

After healing I can feel that a chunk of the bone was removed - I now have two shards of bone protruding from the gum on either side of the removed teeth.

I only went to this dentist because of the time and inconvenience of going to my normal guy, but I regret not doing so.
