We needed to switch dentist due to our health insurance changing. My son has been several times. The 1st time, I went with him(senior in high school) and Dr. Williams seemed very professional and friendly. The subsequent times my son went alone, and everything was fine. I just called to reschedule his appointment tomorrow, and I simply cannot believe the the response from the receptionist! Wow, I am literally rethinking keeping this other appointment and having the rest of the family using them going forward.
She literally said, "it's a huge deal to cancel", as she is responsible for figuring out appointment blocks, and we have made in job hard and there is no way she will be able to reschedule that block of time. I apologized not only once but at the very least 5 times during our conversation. She just kept complaining, and would let it go. I am certain we could not be the only patient to ever cancel an appointment within 24 hours. This is your job, and you should be handling customers with a greater level of professionalism, then what you have shown. You are the face for this business and we should not know how "hard" your job is. Yikes!
