very condescending and cocky. my family sees him because we are not doctors. my child has been diagnosed with numerous disorders which is hard for me to understand, in the beginning of treatment he says its a life long process to coop with the disorders and he said this for 8 months. then all of a sudden she is fine (yet behavior has only gotten worse) so I ask him after a long history of troubling behavior how does it change 180 degrees in a few weeks. his reply was " so you are questioning my practice ( like i was degrading him ) ummmm yeah sir I guess I was questioning because what you are saying now isnt what you had been saying for so many months prior. A dr i feel shouldnt get so defensive bout a question a parent has bout the care of their child. We are seeing him because of real issues. A parent should feel safe from being ridiculed for asking a real true from the heart question. his handwriting is the worse Ive ever seen. you pay his office for reports so to follow closely with my childs care and you cant even read it. so then he wants to charge you for legible reports, I do however respect DR V tremendously......I just think he has too many patients to care of. I feel that way because how he explained in first 20 mins meeting him that there are far far not enough child psychiatrist in metro detroit.....he has the experience yes the review yes......just seems irritable when asked for a clearer understanding of the disorders that he has had 45 yr professional practicing.....(the disorders i never even knew existed till 11 months ago) .remember Dr V families come to you for help. just because a parent that has been alienated away from his daughters appts with you is not understanding everything clearly doesnt mean that parent is "questioning" your ability to be disrespectful. I am only questioning because I fully dont understand. nothing more.
