Dr. Landon seems well versed in current and up to date treatment plans for my condition; however, his reputation for less than cordial bedside manner is widely known across the region. He refused to believe that certain doses of certain medications had worked for me in the past and insisted that I must be mistaken. Had he read my medical records, he wouldn't have brushed me off so quickly. When I asked him for the results of an MRI, he very defensively asked if I thought he wouldn't say anything to me if he had found anything. I was desperate for treatment at the time and asked him what he thought about Medical Marijuana; the only response I got was that he wasn't going to be my "drug dealer." When I went to him in severe pain, he refused to discuss things in detail with me because "I wasn't myself" that day due to the abnormally low blood pressure caused by the medication he'd given me (and promptly took me off, to be fair). That was the last time I ever stepped foot in his office-- he never called a prescription in to my pharmacy to help manage my chronic pain symptoms as he had promised and had no suggestions as to what I should do about my pain except to simply reschedule another appointment for weeks later. I had been dealing with debilitating pain for weeks already at the time and had no time to wait for a doctor who wouldn't lift a finger to help. I've heard many stories of discontentment with this particular physician. If you are a patient of his, I would recommend firmly standing your ground when asking for an explanation of treatment and insist that he addresses issues that are present while you are in his office. I would hate to turn people away who might actually receive the help they need, but adequate help was not given to me. Dr. Landon works with many elderly patients. If one of them is a loved one of yours, I'd recommend sitting in appointments to make sure they are being treated fairly. Poor patient care aside, he is knowledgeable of new research and pharmacology.
