I am very disappointed in Allen Dental. I took my boyfriend to this clinic to have a full set made. Once he was in the exam room, the dentist recommended a different type of denture rather than the ones we had ordered. We did take his recommendation and changed the order as to type. However, when we returned, we found the order had been changed to just an upper plate. I spoke with staff about what may have gone wrong with the order. Staff insisted that we changed it and acted like they had no responsibility in the mistake. I was upset, but asked what we could do to make this right. She said there was impression for the bottom, but the patient said the dentist had made the impression for the lower the same day he made the upper. After some discussion, she finally made a return appt for the impression. I asked if she could still give us the full set price, rather than having to pay separately, which is more expensive. At the end, I also apologized for being upset but that we had had so many issues with getting this completed, including having to have surgery and multiple out of town trips to see them, and I just wanted him to have his smile back. When he returned for the appt, he was informed that they would not see him, and would not see me either in the future. Not even for the fitting of the upper plate that we paid for in full, expecting that to include fittings, as is the general rule. I was further upset that they did not call and tell us on the phone that his appt had been cancelled, causing us to waste time and gasoline to drive the 45 miles. While my own experience with them had been positive, I was quite shocked at this outcome. For that reason, I can no longer recommend this practice, and I had done that quite a bit.
