I went to this doc for all of my pregnancy. My first check up she had told me I was having a miscarriage. I was so upset, and my husband kept asking are you sure. She wanted to schedule a D&C. Finally she told my husband that to ease our mind we could go get a sonogram Monday morning. All weekend we were upset. Monday morning came, and at sonogram we saw the fetal heartbeat. A wait was lifted off our shoulders. She insisted she did nothing wrong, and the baby must has been a twin. I gave he the benefit of the doubt. I went in at 11 weeks and she couldn't hear a heartbeat. She told me the pregnancy must have terminated. I did not listen to her. After the first incident, I realized she may be wrong. She was wrong again, next visit heartbeat was good. At 20 weeks, there was a spot on the sonogram. They told me my baby might have down syndrome and asked if I wanted to terminate my pregnancy. I said NO. Nine months went, and I had a healthy baby boy, who is now 13. Every year I think about this. This doctor had no bedside manner whatsoever. I did not go back to her anymore.

The first time I entered this office I had a uncomfortable feeling. The rooms were very small and not very clean looking. She sent me for a sonogram since we were guessing with my LMP. I went and got my blood tests done also. I called to make sure she got the results and that they were ok since I was not feeling well. Her secretary called me back after 2 times leaving messages and said everything was fine. I told her I had been very ill and not keeping any food done so they said they would call in a RX for that. When I got to the pharmacy, it was not there. I had to call back and have them do it "again". The next time I went in she was trying to hear the heartbeat because she thought I was further than I was. If she had looked at my chart she would have seen exactly how far I really was. This had me worried until I said something about the sonogram and she said. "oh that is why, we won't be able to hear a heartbeat yet." I called her office to get in before my next schedule appointment since I was feeling very depressed and stressed about everything. She told me at the office to wait until I was 13 weeks and she would prescribe me something and to call then. So I did on a Monday, left a message and never called. She called me Tuesday night at 9 when I was already in bed. I called back the next day and left another message. Then the next day. No response. I had her paged Wednesday and Thursday. No response. Then Friday I call her office and finally get her but she doesn't know what I was talking about since she didn't write it in her chart. I tell her again and say that the secretary would call it in. Then said why don't you come in and then i will write it. The secretary got on and asked if I could come in Tuesday of the following week. (It was Friday at the time) I also told them I had spotting. I said well no not really, I work until 5 and it's hard for me to miss work any more than I have to and can you juts call it in. Dr. Gowda said no I had to come in and I was asked if I still wanted to. I said no, nevermind, I've been calling her for 4 days and I don't want to come back. I've never been treated like I was so unimportant in all my life.
