I was rushed by her nurse and cut off on my answers to her questions. Dr Meaux didnt want to answer my general questions i had and said that the insurance wouldnt pay for the visit. i told her i was not worried about having to pay for it myself and she was still not wanting to answer some questions i had. She was not very nice and i didnt feel like she was someone i could talk to about problems. I also felt very uncomfortable during my exam because of how i was treated by her in her office. She also made me feel like i was lying about my medical history questioning me while making faces not believing me. I was excited to see but my first appt with her will be my last appt.

I have PCOS. A female problem with insulin resistance among other issues. To treat this, the Dr wanted me to try drinking an herbal remedy that they sell. This is not something that is appropriate for treating a major health issue. Then, her office incorrectly billed me and my insurance! They charged a co-pay when they shouldn't have and even made me pay out of pocket until they could figure out what the problem was with them billing my insurance. (They billed my insurance twice, which is why insurance declined one of the charges.)
They took over 3 months to right the issue. They blamed it on staff changes, but this was the new staff. It got to the point where they were treating me like a burden when I had to call them on a weekly basis to ask that they fix their error.
They would frequently make plans to call me and when I would call them 2 days after they said they would call, they would tell me I needed to be patient and stop calling so much! Really? Thanks to them I was out $300 around Christmas. Not an ideal way to treat patients. In any regard.
