At Granite Peaks Gastroenterology, we provide the complete range of modern GI care in a technically advanced office. This includes using state-of-the-art technologies and performing in-office procedures. We are also the valley’s first practice to remove hemorrhoids using legation, or “rubber-banding,” for fast, effective and long-term relief.

Here are some of other ways we provide you the highest-quality care:
Colonoscopy screening for colorectal cancer:
Recommended for people over 50 years of age (or 40 years of age when there is a family history of colorectal cancer), this procedure removes precancerous polyps from the colon and can prevent colon cancer.
PillCam (upper and lower endoscopy):
A technologically advanced pill-size camera records the patient’s entire GI tract and reveals possible cancers. Capsule endoscopy is the “gold standard” for small bowel visualization.

Bravo™ 48-hour pH monitoring:
Bravo is the gold standard method for pH monitoring of gastric reflux disorders such as GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). It allows your physician to evaluate your reflux symptoms and determine the best course of treatment for you.
H. pylori breath testing:
This is a simple, safe test used to detect an active H. pylori infection. H. pylori is a bacteria that can infect the stomach or the first part of the small intestine. Untreated, it can cause gastritis and duodenal or gastric ulcers.

Endoscopic esophageal scope dilation & ligation:
Dilation is used to open a blocked portion of the esophagus, which can become injured by tumors, stomach acid, ingestion of toxic substances that burn the esophagus or other factors. The ligation technique is used to stop esophageal bleeding.

HALO® ablation for Barrett’s esophagus:
Barrett's esophagus is a precancerous condition of the esophagus caused by chronic acid reflux or GERD. Over 90% of patients treated with HALO have no residual Barrett's tissue after more than two years.

Argon plasma coagulation for polyps & AVMs:
Argon gas deliver a plasma of evenly distributed heat energy to upper or lower gastrointestinal tissue that is bleeding.

Therapeutic ERCP:
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, or ERCP, is a study of the ducts that drain the liver and pancreas. Therapeutic ERCP is more than diagnostic; it is done to allow treatment.

Hemorrhoid banding

Pharmacologic management:
Medication management is an extremely important part of treatment to alleviate patients’ pain and avoid negative interactions between prescribed medications and OTC medications.
