A dentist got me an emergency appointment with Dr. Kearney, which was great. Everything was OK except the noise. The rooms have the tops of the partitions open to the next room. Dr. Kearney had a loud political conversation with his assistant; very unprofessional and annoying. When I complained about the metal clamp around my tooth hurting, he told me I am annoying. It was a 2 day visit; I was so glad to leave, and will never go back. This guy should operate heavy equipment, not work on teeth. My comfort was of no concern, I was hurting and at their mercy.
I recently had my first root canal by Dr Kearney. After two months the tooth still has sensations and pressure in it. Before having the molar built up for a cap, I had Dr Kearney recheck the tooth to see what he thought was causing the sensations. He became very defensive. After taking one Xray he said the root canal was fine. Dr Kearney said if I didn't think he did a good job that I could go to another dentist. He gave me two more options as well....1. Have the tooth pulled (then I wouldn't feel anything ~ really!!!! ) or 2. Have an additional surgery that would cost another $<url removed>. I tried to get a definite answer about this additional surgery and if he was recommending me for the procedure (which he never explained). He said, "I'm not recommending anything to you, you will have to decide what you want." I thought this was very confusing. I felt so frustrated leaving his office. I voiced my concerns to his receptionist. She even seemed surprised that he would recommend surgery only two months after the root canal. Dr. Kearney's advice and behavior was extremely disturbing to me. He really knows how to shirked his responsibility. On my file, he wrote that he spent 30 mins. with me that day going over options and risks. What a lie!!!!! He did no such thing. I left his office that day very upset and no closer to understanding what was causing the sensations. My advice is please beware!!!
