When they passed out humanity - they missed this place. Most of the time when you call the staff is snooty and acts like "maybe" we can help you. We have used them for 20 years - pretty routinely never needed any special services. Now my 95 year old Mother has a problem. It is February 2014 in Chicago with all the ice and snow and she doesn't walk well and is homebound. I called 4 times in one day to beg the doc to come see her at home - 4 blocks from the office. I was told they would call me back - they didn't call back. Finally he came reluctantly - was here less than 5 mins - diagnosed an eye infection and prescribed a med. Now it is a few weeks later - it seems to be coming back. I tried reaching him at 12:30 on Tue - gone for day and noone to help us. I called again Thursday and he wouldn't get on the phone and the message again is she must come into the office. I hung up on them. I called an optometrist I know and they asked - did she do the full course of the medicine - and I had to say no, the eye responded very quickly and we were lax about doing it the full time. This person said - it is important to do the full course! If the doc had been a human he could have talked to me and asked me the same thing and perhaps suggested we do it again the full course - before demanding I bring her in. I would advise anyone that there are many kind, concerned eye doctors around and no need to waste your time here. We certainly never will again.
