I saw Dr. Vickery in the ER at University hospital when I had a "choking" incident; I could not swallow a small piece of chicken, And I could not get it to move up or down due to some problem with scar tissue following a tonsillectomy. For hours, I tried to dislodge it, but finally ended up going to the ER. Dr. Vickery saw me after the on duty gastroenterologist had no success with trying to remove it with an endoscope.Sorry for the wordiness of this, but I wanted to give you the pertinate info so you could understand all I went through, and how Dr. Vickery was so kind, patient and understanding, not to mention how he gave me the first relief I had after suffering with this for hours. He was sympathetic, and had an easy going, friendly attitude in his care of me. He used general anesthesia so as not to make me suffer more than I already was, and in case he discovered something more serious once he could look more closely. All I remember is breathing the anesthetic, and then waking to complete RELIEF !!! He spoke to my husband and me with total empathy and confidence that he could help me! And he did, and I highly recommend him to anyone with an ear, nose or throat problem and you not only value a competent MD, but also one who treats you like you are an old friend. Thank you, Dr. Vickery, I feel blessed you were on call that night.

I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Couldn't help give me an answer to my problem other then a $600 allergy testing that he didn't even think would help my balance issue that I came in for. I wasn't happy with their care and wouldn't want someone else to be as disappointed as I was. I wasn't greeted at all when I entered their office. I could tell they noticed I walked in, but they didnt greet me or even smile when she made eye contact while on the phone for a personel call. The doctor was nice but my biggest problem is I called to get an ESTIMATE of the doctors visit and the billing department would tell me nothing! Finally my husband called and they told him $75-150 for the appt and any further testing would cost more but they would let me know first. We got our bill and the insurance only covered less then $50 and we are left paying $385! My husband called back today and they said standard appt is $250 and the hearing test was $175. Funny how all of a sudden they know their pricing so well.
