I saw a regular optometrist for years to get my glasses & contact lens Rx. Then my eyes started to swell almost EVERY day, especially when I first woke up in the morning, the top lids were almost swollen shut, & hurt badly. The first optometrist told me there was sty (which was NOT what it was), & it would go away on its own.

But it kept bothering me, & it almost seemed like I was having some sort of allergic reaction. So I went back to my original optometrist office & the other optometrist that works there (who is better & not quite as old as Dr. Shuman, & knows more of what he is talking about, but still not perfect), but he still had no answers for me .

I would highly recommend Dr. Crymes, & it was nice to feel like I was actually speaking with a doctor that had a clue what he was talking about. He answered ALL of my questions, while treating me with respect, not rushing me, and not making me feel stupid for some of my questions. If I were to get lasik surgery (which I really would love to do that now, if I had the $), I would trust Dr. Crymes with my eyes - and I think that's saying a lot.

Even though it's a busy office, they've cheerfully helped us with some odd and inconvenient paperwork requests we've had to make. Things move quickly, which I appreciate, yet I always feel that the doctor has thoroughly reviewed my folder before he walks into the room -- he asks specific, relevant questions about past visits and about my work and family, as well as hobbies that might be relevant to my care..
