Dr. Daar graduated from Loyola Dental School of Chicago in 1982, receiving a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He completed the graduate program at St. Joseph College in West Hartford and obtained a Master Degree in Nutrition.Continuing education has always been important in order to provide the newest and best treatments. Dr. Daar has taken over 100 hours of both periodontic and orthodontic continuing education. I took my children here after confirming with the receptionist that they do in fact take children. BIG mistake. If you have children you are thinking of taking here, DONT do it. Dr. Daar has horrible bedside manner. At the first appointment, he never even introduced himself, he spoke with his dental assistants after THEY examined my children and discussed with the assistants what kind of work the kids needed. Then the assistant conveyed that to me. The next appointment for my 4 year old, I told Dr. Daar that I was very nervous about giving her nitrous, and he got snippy with me and said very sarcastically that maybe we shouldnt have the gas at all then. After my daughter started crying and carrying on, he got frustrated, threw his tools down and said "we're done" went into his office and closed the door. He never addressed me except to be snotty, never spoke with me like a human being or concerned parent, and was just plain horrible. I cancelled the remaining appointment I had and asked for my xrays back. Would NEVER recommmed this man for working on kids. EVER.

I thought the staff was amazing; they were so friendly and helpful, and made sure I felt welcome there. When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, they are among the best I have seen. They were so happy to answer each and every question I had. They also encouraged me to call if I need any more answers in the future.
