I had been a patient of Dr. Robinson's for years. Several of those years I was covered under Blue Cross Insurance thru an employer. I am no longer with that employer and no longer have insurance. I am considered what they call "self pay". I have always paid my bill at his office when seen, but after today I will NOT go back. He was very rude. After keeping me waiting 45 minutes beyond my appointment time, he seemed rushed and frustrated because of some of my test results were not to his liking and was trying to explain a few things along with belittling me for not being able to afford insurance as I am on my own and trying to keep a roof over my head. Also I might add, that he also told me about a few of HIS personal insurance problems. I didn't mind that but then when they beeped him that he was running behind, he got very defensive with me and said and I quote " I don't have 45 minutes to spend with a low paying patient"!!!!! ( I get a discount on my fee because of no insurance). But that comment was uncalled for. I did NOT detain him with questions. He was the ONE who did all of the talking and then wants to belittle me for paying cash. He was rude as hell and I will never go back to his office again.
I do plan on contacting anyone I can that is above him to file a complaint and also am telling everyone I know who has or use to use him. Never in my life has a Dr. tried to belittle me or degrade me as he did today with his words and tone of voice. He is evidently getting too old to deal with people anymore and he needs to retire!!!
