Not impressed with Primecare in St. Augustine, FL. I used to see Dr. Harris-Letts until she retired. Now, Dr. Kelsey is taking over her patients and I never see the doctor, always a PA or Nurse Practitioner. I loved Lisa Salt, a PA but she left and I saw the Nurse Practitioner, Ashley just the other week. I needed to be seen to renew my prescriptions however, since we are in a pandemic I requested a drive up visit as they didn’t have Virtual. When I got there they asked me to come in which I was not happy about. A nurse took my vitals and had me wait for Ashley. I decided to go back to my car and wait as I was not comfortable. Ashley came out and we discussed renewing prescriptions including my CPAP. At which time she said I would need to see a Pulmanologlists because Dr. Kelsey did not do that. I asked if there was any way to get something to hold me over until the pandemic was better and she said she thought that would be fine. I had to call her back with the medical supply company info but never herd back from her or the practice. I called, left messages and no one called me back. Called again and told them how upset I was and finally got someone who followed through and got back to me. They talked to Ashley and she said she told me I would have to go to a Pulmanologist at my appt which was not true. I have had many problems over the years with support stafff not getting back to me in a timely matter but I really like Dr. Harris- Letts so stayed. I’ve never seen Dr. Kelsey and since he is not doing all that Dr. Harris did I no longer want to stay with this practices. I don’t recommend them at all. Not truthful (Ashley) and feel Dr. Kelsey doesn’t care and just has PA’s or Nurses see patients to get more money.

Dr. Kelsey is a top notch Diagnostician. I had a stress test on July 30 & 31, 2014. The consult for the results were given to me by his P.A. I was told I would hear within three days when I could expect the appointment for the Heart Catherization. The Cath was done on Aug 21, 2014. The Doctor doing the Cath was Dr. George who was on vacation the week of the 10th through the 16th. Dr. George is the best and well worth the wait, few are better qualified. I am "somewhat" glad I waited for him. I was stressed out after receiving a "Failure of a Stress Test" and then waiting past the 5th day for an appointment confirmation. After failing a stress test at age 64 an old man wants to ensure any problems are taken care of ASAP. We tend to pass on due to something called the Widow maker. I do not for one moment doubt the professionalism of these fine medical Cardiologists. I would suggest however Dr. Kelsey's P.A. become a bit more cognitive of "Old Man Psychological Stress Levels". Would I have this team continue to save my life? You bet your sweat bippy I would! Worth every heart beat.
