I would like to share my experience with ChristianaCare for my delivery scheduled for 9/5. Which was worst from start to end. I can say not all the nurses have experience. I am not sure if this is how the deliveries are done as this is our first baby.

I reached the hospital on 9/4 at 7 AM and got admitted within a few hours to one of the labor and delivery rooms. A nurse came to draw blood for the initial tests and a lot of my blood was on the floor before she could attach the glucose. When my husband asked why so much blood is on the floor she laughed and said "She is a good bleeder" and we were surprised how come it is so casual. But we were excited for the baby to come so we ignored this. After a few hours, we were moved to another labor and delivery room. Since we had requested for the delivery to be on 9/5 the nurses increased the induction dosage around 11 PM on 9/4 and I started getting contractions.
I was expecting the midwife (Michelle) to be with me the whole time during the delivery but that was not the case. Around 4 AM the contractions increased and the nurses checked and decided that I am ready for delivery. After a few minutes, the baby started crowning and in the meanwhile, the midwife (Michelle) came and checked. As the crowning had just started the midwife decided to go out, probably for another delivery. But I was contracting a lot and the delivery had started with just my Husband and the nurse. I could clearly see that the nurse was scared and she immediately called for help. Another nurse arrived for the delivery but I see no sign of the midwife or the doctor. My baby's head was out and her cord got wrapped around the neck. Both the nurses were shit scared and immediately one of the nurses started calling for the doctor. In the meanwhile, the nurse was able to remove the wrapped around chord and in few minutes the baby was delivered. Later the doctor arrived (she got stuck in some other delivery I guess) and she performed the stitches. While the stitches were performed the midwife came "finally".
While I was delivering the baby I could see all this happening through the reflection from the ceiling lights.
I was moved to a postpartum room where I was well-taken care of except for the last day when an old lady came to drawn blood for the test. As soon as she pierced the needle in my vein she was shaky and I could see the needle shaking under my skin. My husband asked her to stop and draw the blood from the other hand and she successfully did that.
I would never recommend this hospital/midwife and doctor to my friends. I
I took the time to write the whole experience because I didn't want to miss anything (though I forgot the names of the nurses).

I found them a long time ago thru a friend. I won't go anywhere else. Dr. Brosch is wonderful and to the point.
