The most knowledgable ob-gyn I've seen yet. Each case and each person is treated and considered completely uniquely, but informed by his vast experience with pregnancies ranging from "normal" to the very rare cases. He has delivered thousands of babies (including myself!), and while he no longer delivers, he prepares women very well through those months and weeks when the pregnancy is most fragile, and transitions women to a midwife early enough that she will be very comfortable. My husband was also very impressed with him; he is very open with information, very clear, and makes sure you understand. I was also impress with how quickly he reports results of tests to you; other practices I had to call, even days later, to find out anything only to be told to "make an appointment". He is also very open to working with the patient's preferences, while taking into consideration what is wisest and safest. I really felt the choices were mine, while not feeling "alone" in making these decisions. I wish more doctors were like this!
