If you are considering surgery from this surgeon don't do it please for yourself. I had a gastric bypass there knowing that there were chances of complications. Everything went ok other than they didn't explain that my birth control would not work after the surgery. Got pregnant a month after. Couldn't keep any food down wasn't sure if it was because of the bypass or pregnancy nausea. I went back to him to get some information. He basically blew me off and sent me to his dietician. I needed more help then that. I ended up with a liver abscess from complications from my bypass. When Dr. Brown did the surgery he left a piece of "flesh" to the attachment point. It was not getting enough blood to it and caused a major blood borne infection. Long story short I was in the ICU on life support for 2 months straight and my husband was having the conversation with doctors on whether they should take the baby if I died. I understand there are complications but then I found out after that the doctors contacted Dr. Brown and told him and he didn't care...didn't ask if I was ok or anything. Least he could have done was said sorry. Oh well I thought it would be important to put this information out there so people can make a informed decision about whether to use Dr. Brown or not. Hope this helps keep others safe.
