Dr. Sidhu is one of the most horrible doctors I've ever had. I went in for a bunionectomy in mid January 2011. Right away, I had problems healing, but every time I asked a question, he became extremely uncomfortable and defensive - as though I was questioning his judgment, when really I just wanted to know what was going on. Not only that, he didn't recommend that I go to physical therapy until 3 MONTHS after the surgery, when the bone starts to already get stiff, and only after I pushed the subject. By that point, my physical therapist said that I had lost a good amount of range of motion and it'd be an uphill struggle for me. About 4 months after the surgery, my big toe started to go back to it original position and when I brought it up to him, he told me to just put a cotton ball between my 1st and 2nd toes so that my big toe wouldn't keep moving! Ridiculous. Around that same time, I started to develop a huge bump at the site of the surgery and when I showed him this, he told me it was as simply as just cutting that 'extra piece of bone' off my foot. However, by this point my foot already looked very misfigured, what with this huge bump and my big toe already moving back. I began seeing other ortho surgeons for second opinions and they all said that this guy had seriously botched the surgery. Not only that, I'm dealing with pain in my foot as well as my knee from the structure of my foot being completely thrown off. I'm looking at a painful 2nd revision surgery at this point which promises I'll be out much longer than the 2 months I was out after the 1st surgery. Every other Dr I saw was totally flabbergasted that Sidhu hadn't taken an xray of what my foot looked like before the surgery, so as to compare a before and after. Extremely suspicious - as though he didn't want anyone to judge his work after the fact. Long story short: do NOT see this man! He wants to make a quick buck and his bedside manner is horrendous. Worst experience ever.
