The Dr. and PA are always very attentive to my needs and concerns. They have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I have confidence that they are always very thorough. I have been very satisfied and my family will continue to use their practice.

I went to Dr. Maffie with a skin infection that had persisted for more than a month. She took one look and said that it was eczema and wanted to give me a steroid. I had had a bad experience with steroid making an infection much much worse, so I told her that I wanted to know what it was before she gave me a steroid. Plus I had an invasive surgery in a few weeks and needed to know that this was taken care of. She decided to do a biopsy, saying "You'll see it will just come back as inflammation." Well it came back as a fungal infection with 3 different bacteria. She then told me that she would treat the fungal infection, but not bacteria. 6 days later she still had not given me a prescription to treat either the fungus or bacteria and my surgery had to be cancelled until the infection is cleared up. NO, I don't believe that she knows much about skin infections and she had a bad attitude with me b/c I wanted a real diagnosis. If she had just given me the steroid that she wanted to do, the skin infection would have gotten much worse.
