My husband Ken checked in with chest pains. Dr. Baruch and others noted that his ONE kidney was diseased, but no one thought to tell Ken that. Dr. Baruch decided it was a good idea to do a 7 hour open heart surgery on someone with one kidney that was diseased. Ken went into acute respiratory failure, and after 7 months on life support HELL he finally died, thank God. I wanted to remove him from life support 3 weeks into this because even I could see Ken wasn't going to recover. Dr. Baruch fought me, brought me before the hospital ethics board. In that meeting he lied about having conversations with Ken, Dr. Baruch said Ken told him he wanted the surgery no matter what and knew the deal ahead. A total lie according to ken later when he was able to speak. Dr. Baruch should be ashamed of himself, and he also is the most arrogant person I can say I've ever met. He had the rudeness to remind us 5 family members in the ethic meeting that he "has a degree", because...we are all nose picking goobers who don't know anything and trying to stop someones suffering is too hard for us to understand and do correctly. What an ahole he is. Run, don't walk to the nearest exit.
