Not ony did Dr. Stone require a payment of $95.00, although I presented my Medicare and Medi-Cal cards, he gave crappy service.
I lost my hearing when I had the flu and after taking that horrible Azithromycin, was hospitalized for that reason, he would ot come to the hospital. The employees there kept asking where he was and the reply was that he was unavailable. No ENT treated me while in Valleycare Hospital. He told me after an audio test that I had lost my hearing due to old-age. My daughter was with me for the visit. She spoike up and said that was not true. Deafness due to old age comes on slowly, not overnight which is the same way arthritis comes on. A person who is going deaf has to ask people over and over to repeat what they said. That never happened as we talked to each other while one or the other was upstairs or downstairs. Anyway, this clown said I had to have hearing aids. I left his office feeling that he had made $95.00 off me fraudulently. I inquired about hearing aids and they cost $5,000. or $5,000. I am a senior on Social Security only and would have had to get the hearing aids financed through a certainly medical credit company which has high interest rates. Thank Goodness, I had an epiphany that I should go to another ENT which I did. Three seconds after being seated in front of Dr. Ronald L. Rubenstein in San Leandro, I could hear after being stone deaf for weeks. That is the most horrible feeling when you live in total silence as it causes anxiety. I was so happy I wanted to give the doctor a hug. He did me do a simple thing which he told me to keep doing daily. My hearing has been restored and I am forever grateful to Dr. Rubenstein for knowing what to do, something Dr. Stone should have known. Doctors should stop worshiping money and treat patients as they would want to be treated. I can't erase the one star above. He needs a deficit of about ten stars. I don't want to give him any star. He needs some re-training. He cheated me and he cheated Medicare, your taxpayer dollars.

I had some vertigo issues that were not addressed in a serious manner. It was suggested that I just had to deal with it for what it was with no treatment recommendations. I could not let it go at that, made an appointment with a neurologist who did some tests and was able to cure my vertigo with just three therapy visits. I suggest a second opinion if you have been treated by Dr. Stone.
