Outstanding service from Dr. Hester and his staff. After years of complaining about "my allergies" I decided to see someone about ongoing sinus issues and am now fully in control. Dr Hester was kind, straight forward, and most importantly, treated my issue successfully.

If you have sinus problems that keep recurring, please pay Dr. Hester a visit to see if a minor surgery or procedure will help them stop coming back. I've done two with him, the first was a turbinate reduction which helped me for 5 years and the second was widening the maxillary sinus openings which has kept infections at bay for 3 years and counting. I was so pleased with his care the first time that I drove 1.5 hrs each way to make the second one happen with him. I first went to a well-known ENT in my area who was so patronizing that I just missed Dr. Hester even more! Dr Hester is the most amazing physician I have ever met in terms of bedside manner - he takes ALL the time you need to answer ALL your questions and really explain to you what is going on and how to fix it. He's also a very talented surgeon who will take literally an hour (if you need it like I did the first time) to explain pros and cons of procedures so you can make a good decision with NO pressure or rush. The anesthesiologists he used both times were also really nice and frank and patient as well - birds of a feather flock together I guess! And his post-op care is excellent. (My only beef is he had this one impatient receptionist but she may be gone by now.) If you're within any driving distance of Dr. Hester, you owe yourself a consult with him before you enter into ANY surgery or if other dr's treatments aren't working for you. If I could I'd give him more than 5 stars - especially on helpfulness, patience, taking time to educate you, making sure YOU are the expert and director of your care, making sure you're totally comfortable. He's just a lovely man and what a doctor SHOULD be but so few are these days.
